Tarmac: Once or twice a year, depending on oil staining and moss build-up. Applying a tarmac sealant after cleaning extends the time between cleans.

Concrete: Annual cleaning is usually sufficient. Concrete is porous, so applying a sealant helps prevent staining from penetrating the surface.
